Contractor Safety

The contractor is a vital part of any organisation.

From working in-house to working on-site they may be installing your product or maintaining your plant and equipment. Often we think that little responsibility is placed on the organisation when we contract these services, however, if anybody is contracted by any organisation for specialist services there are legal accountabilities for both groups.

Certification or certain competencies may need to be checked for validity. Contractors will need to be provided with a safe work environment. Also, with some contracts, the contracting company may be required to have their own live and auditable health and safety system.
