What are hazardous substances?

Hazardous substances are chemicals or other substances which can harm your health. Examples include (depending on the concentration and ingredients): acids, caustic substances, peroxides, cleaning agents, disinfectants and insecticides. They may be solids, liquids or gases, pure substances or mixtures.
