“At Spesh Pty Ltd (a specialist company) the managers were not sure whether the operations at their facility were entirely within the law. They had a grasp on some health and safety knowledge like most managers do, but weren’t sure how to properly identify the hazards and assess and control the risks.

They called our team, who worked with Spesh staff in performing risk assessments on their machinery and work systems, and developed control measures that fitted the issue, company focus, budget and timing. The spin-off was that they were able to train staff to perform future assessments, which motivated the whole team. We were also able to make positive recommendations on the company’s work when on-site.” From there, the company developed a training regime that enabled the company to grow in risk knowledge,creating an ongoing process of risk reduction throughout the business.
